This weekend was the Isamilo International School annual drama festival and I was helping out with videoing and taking photos.
Groups of children from Tanzania performed plays and dances to a large crowd of people. I took a series of shots of the acts and for this student performing a Bollywood Dance I set my camera on a slow shutter speed to capture the graceful movement and speed of the dance.
The whole festival was a real success and every performance was met with a raucous round of applause.
Here are my images of the dancer, which work I feel work quite well as a triptych.

Isamilo International School incidentally won the festival with the year 10 students putting on an outstanding performance of The Black Hermit by the Kenyan author Ngugi wa Thiong’o.
Here are the winning students, pictured below, with drama teacher and Head of English George Odlla and Headteacher (and my husband) Mark Dunnell.

Gorgeous shots and perfect for the theme, a very happy coincidence for you.

Thanks. The dancer really was wonderful and the costumes and set helped make the photographs so bright.
